West Town
West Town is an area that is made up of smaller sub-neighborhoods. These neighborhoods include East Village, Noble Square and Ukrainian Village. West Town is bound by Chicago (800N), The Eisenhower Expressway (400S), Halsted (800W) and California (2800W).

The proximity West Town has to both the major highway systems and downtown has made it a developer's dream come true. There is a healthy mixture of old and new architecture in housing, stores, and restaurants.

There are plenty of public parks to enjoy and many people flock to close by Wicker Park for exciting nightlife as well.

West Town primarily consists of two- and three-flats. Renovated apartments and single-family homes can also be found, as well as some new brick and limestone constructions. It is still possible to find homes with great views of the city at attractive prices, all within 10 minutes from downtown.

Housing: In 2009, the average single-family home sold for $378,508 with prices ranging anywhere from $55,000 to $1,700,000.

The average townhouse and condominium sold for an average price of $330,210 with prices ranging anywhere from $55,000 to $1,287,500.

Transportation: West Town has plenty of public transportation options. CTA has a subway at the intersection of Chicago and Milwaukee and Grand and Milwaukee. These train lines run all the way around the loop and as far north as O'Hare. There are busses that run on Chicago, Milwaukee, Grand, Halsted, Western, and California Streets.
